About Us
The Circle of Toastmasters was formed to maintain the highest standards of the Toastmasters’ profession and to train and support all our members.
For your confidence and peace of mind there is no better sight than to see a professional Toastmaster dressed in his red tail coat waiting to welcome you and your guests.
The Circle of Toastmasters puts you, the client first. The last thing we are is pompous, and we pride ourselves in looking after you.
If you are ever promised a free toastmaster by the venue, ask them the following questions:
- Is he or she a trained professional toastmaster?
- Is he or she just the banqueting or duty manager?
- Will a red tail coat be worn?
- Will they be able to help you with the speeches?
- Do they understand the etiquette and protocol of the function?
You should accept nothing less than a qualified, professional Toastmaster.
Book with confidence: we are Toastmasters and Masters of Ceremonies for every occasion.
Remember - the Toastmaster is working for you, not the venue. He is the link between you and the venue.
Why should you have a Toastmaster at your function?
Because... after putting a lot of money, planning and effort into your function it is very important that everything should run smoothly, allowing you and your guests to enjoy the event to the full.
Having a trained and qualified Toastmaster at your function means that you can forget all the problems of etiquette, protocol and procedure, safe in the knowledge that the Toastmaster’s experience, expertise and ability to organise the formalities, working together with the management of the venue, allow you to relax and enjoy yourselves.
The Toastmaster, immaculately dressed in the red coat, also adds a touch of prestige and a sense of occasion, complementing all the other enjoyable traditions of the function.
It is vitally important to have all the Toastmaster’s skill and experience to deal with any unexpected problems that might arise. For instance, at a wedding, you might have divorced parents on the guest list with their new partners; the father of the bride, or the bridegroom, may be overcome with emotion and cannot finish their speeches. In such cases, a professional Toastmaster can step in and help.
In short, the Toastmaster’s experience is your guarantee that, after all the preparation and planning, the event will go without a hitch, and you will be rewarded by having a successful, stress-free and happy celebration.
Training
The Circle of Toastmasters holds regular training courses for its members. We can also run courses for non-members who would like to join The Circle.
All training will be done by our president, Reuben Lynch, who is one of the most experienced Toastmasters in the country.
